Liberal Arts is an umbrella term used for collectively referring to subjects like Languages, Social Sciences, the Arts (music, painting, etc.) and Humanities. These subjects appeal to the heart and soul more than the mind. Liberal Arts is a highly preferred field nowadays and the top universities of the world offer these subjects. The National Education Policy of India, too, has a strong focus on these domains. It is rightly believed that the future of education is through Liberal Arts which will enable us to make this world a better place to live in. Shoolini University offers subjects like English, Hindi, Psychology, History, Political Science, Yoga, etc., which come under the rubric of Liberal Arts.

The School has been successfully running the Belletristic: Shoolini Loves Literature Society, the brainchild of the Department of English, that has recently completed its two-year journey to become a unique, one-of-its-kind literary society, spreading the love of literature far and wide, organising webinars, International conferences, book publications, book launches and discussions, and even Himachal’s first-ever Literature festival —The Shoolini Literature Festival.

The Faculty is headed by Prof Manju Jaidka, a scholar with an international profile, who has held assignments and prestigious fellowships in Europe and America. Additionally, faculty members based in America and Japan take regular classes in the virtual mode. They inculcate critical thinking among students and train them to actively analyse the problems and possibilities they might encounter in their lives.
